Shopping spree turned into a food spree

My main intention of going to Penang was for a holiday (shopping!!) plus visitation. But, it somehow turned out to be a food spree instead. On Saturday morning, after having our late breakfast, we started our journey. Upon arriving in Penang, the Penang bridge came into my sight. Gosh! I was so happy. Maklumlah, I've stayed there for 2 years. I was babysitted by my aunt in Penang. That's why everytime I go to Penang. It feels like I'm going back home.

Our first destination was New World Park! I saw it in a television programme on food (Ho Chak!). The ais kacang special really got my attraction. As dad said that it was our family vacation, he promised to bring us there. And there we were! I went round the park searching for the foodcourt but it was nowhere to be found. Luckily, after calling my cousin, I was told that the foodcourt was behind the park. So, off we go! Finally, we found it!!

That was lunch. After that, we went round exploring New World Park. It has many shops. There was one shop that was called fish spa. It's something like what we see on television. You sit there and the fish will come and eat your dead skins and cells. Yea.. should be something like that. We even saw some extraordinary arts like making decorations with beans. That really need a lot of patience. And the outcome of that art work IS costly. After a short walk, we went to my aunt's house to put our luggage and did some cleaning. My aunt and uncle were away. They are currently staying in Singapore to take care of their grandchildren. I also heard from my cousin that they're going to caregroup. Hope that they can be part of God's big family! After the cleaning and some rest, we headed towards the longest mall in Malaysia - Queensbay Mall. Whoa! It was really long. We went home before we finish exploring the mall (we spent like 4 hours plus there). It was a very sad shopping spree. Sigh.. See things that I like but cannot buy (I shouldn't have left my dad in the hardware department.. if not, I could have bought almost everything that I want). Anyway, everything was replaced with good food! Told you, it's a food spree and not shopping spree. Dinner was.. one word - delicioso!

Those were food for the first day..! After the heavy meal, we headed back to my aunt's place and rested. Such a long and tiring day. I was so fatigue that I slept once I was on the bed. My best sleep ever in the month of September. Now I know what it feels like to be having sleeping problems. And it's not nice. First time in the month I 'm sleeping so soundly. So happy! Mission two accomplished. My second day food spree post will be coming up soon! Stay tune! =)
